Practical guides, plainly written

Editorial standards

How this site is put together, and what you should and should not rely on it for.

This page exists so you can judge how much weight to give anything here. It says what has been checked, and — more usefully — what has not.

What this site is

SoftBDInfo publishes practical guides — health and medical explainers, written for people trying to make a decision and wanting the useful part without wading.

The archive, honestly

Most of what is published here was migrated from this site’s previous WordPress installation in August 2026. Those pieces carry their original publication dates.

Two things follow, and they matter:

  • They have not been individually re-checked since the move. Where a piece names a hospital, a fee, a visa rule or a treatment, verify it against the provider before acting on it. Some of it is years old.
  • No medical professional has reviewed the health content. There is a reviewer mechanism on this site, and where a piece has genuinely been checked by someone with relevant credentials a “Reviewed by” line appears with their name. Where that line is absent, no such review happened. It is absent on the archive.

Saying so costs us something. Saying otherwise would cost you more.

This is not professional advice

Nothing here is medical, financial or legal advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship.

For anything involving your health, your money or your legal position: talk to a qualified professional who can see your actual situation. A general article cannot, and this one is not pretending to. If a symptom is severe or getting worse, contact a doctor or your local emergency service rather than a website.

What we do before publishing something new

  • Claims are either verifiable by you from a source we link, or clearly marked as our judgement.
  • Prices, fees and rules are dated, because they move.
  • “Should work” is not published as “works”.
  • Where a claim comes from documentation or an official source, we link it. Where it comes from our own experience, the page says that instead — those are different kinds of evidence and you deserve to know which one you are getting.
  • Nothing is recommended that we have not opened, used or read.

Use of AI

AI tools may be used for research and drafting. A person is responsible for anything published under this site’s name — but see the archive note above, which is exactly the sort of thing that responsibility means being honest about.

Bylines

Everything is published under the house byline, SoftBDInfo Editorial. It is declared as an organisation, not a person, in the page’s structured data, because inventing a named author would be a false claim about who wrote something.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, out of date, or has stopped working, tell us on the contact page. Corrections are made on the page and dated. We do not quietly edit a mistake away.

That is the fastest way to improve this site, and the archive note above is a standing invitation.

Independence

Recommendations are not for sale. No payment changes a ranking, a score, or whether something appears at all. Where a link earns a commission, the page says so.
